Am 15.9.2009 begannen die Aufnahmen für das neue Smashing Pumpkins Album, das „Teargarden by Kaleidyscope“ heissen soll. Veröffentlicht wird das Album Song für Song, der erste Song soll um Halloween erscheinen: online und kostenlos zum Download. Wer eine CD bevorzugt, wird das Album in Form von 11 limitierten EPs mit jeweils 4 Songs kaufen können. Zum Abschluss ist dann noch eine Deluxe Box Edition geplant. Und Material für Bonus-Songs gibt es mit Sicherheit auch:
I already have 53 songs written for the record, so I am quite confident that I already have much of the material that I would need to undertake such an extensive project.
